As each of us progresses in life, moving on from the Dome and Our Lady’s formal education, we nevertheless realize that we should still be learning throughout our lives. And while there is obviously a unique relationship between the University of Notre Dame and the Republic of Ireland, we also realize that we can always learn more about the Emerald Isle. Luckily, we in Austin are blessed with the presence of a Consulate Office of the Republic of Ireland – right in Downtown Austin!Come join fellow members of the Notre Dame family for an evening at the Irish Consulate for a special discussion entitled “Ireland, Brexit, and the future of Europe.” For those who are Irish – and those who are not, this event can help us gain a greater understanding of how the westernmost outpost of Europe will cope after one of its largest partners (economically and culturally) has exited the European Union.
There will be Irish food and refreshments, and this event is free of charge!
