About Us

The Notre Dame Club of Austin is the official home for Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s, and Holy Cross alumni, friends, and family in the Central Texas area.

Mission

The Notre Dame Club of Austin’s mission is driven by these six guidelines:

  • Camaraderie
  • Catholic / Christian Spirituality
  • Communications
  • Community Service
  • Continuing Education
  • Current Students

With these in mind, the Notre Dame Club of Austin provides a variety of events and resources to ND/SMC/HCC alumni, parents, students, families, and friends. Throughout the year, we offer opportunities to connect with familiar faces within the local community to bring Notre Dame to Austin.

NDCoA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of friends, family, and alumni of the University of Notre Dame.

Don’t feel like getting involved, but still want to donate (a tax-deductible donation), you can do so through our Better Unite Always On Campaign. The Always On money goes to the club to be used for any purpose. Funds donated here do not count towards football lottery eligibility.

In addition to our Always On Campaign, you can also donate to the Scholarship Fund where all money donated goes directly towards our scholarship contribution. Funds donated here do count towards football lottery eligibility.

We’ve also set up an SSLP fund, where money does go directly towards our SSLP scholarship payment. Funds donated here do count towards football lottery eligibility.

President’s Welcome

Hello Notre Dame Club of Austin,

I am Justin Patrick, ND class of 1995, Keenan Hall resident, and originally an Ohio native. I would like to introduce myself as your new club president, and I am honored to serve you and this club in that role. My family moved here in July of 2020 with a job change after living in Milwaukee, WI for 14 years (and several other great places before that)! We love the Austin area and want to stay connected with and support the Notre Dame, St. Mary’s, and Holy Cross alumni, family, and friends in the Central Texas area.

My wife Meghan is also a ‘95 grad, my daughter Abby is a ’22 grad, and my sons, AJ class of ’24, and Matt class of ‘26, are enjoying their studies at ND. Because the University has been so good for my family and me, I wanted to give back to the school in an increased capacity and this felt like the right way to make a local impact. My goals for the club are aligned with the six focus areas of the university: Camaraderie, Catholic / Christian Spirituality, Communications, Community Service, Continuing Education, and Current Students. Through the amazing people we have as members of the club, I know we can further these here in Austin.

The club has a long tradition of service and excellence, and as I have become more engaged as we move back in full force to in-person events, I am amazed at what an outstanding, talented, and caring group of people you all are. As we continue to set up future events, I look forward to meeting more of you! And because all clubs rely on volunteers, my ask is if you have the willingness and time, we could use some more people taking on some responsibilities – whether it is a leadership position like Current Student Events coordinator or a one-off event like our Christmas party or a community event – we need your help to make it work!! There is a list of open roles on our website with descriptions, so please see what interests you and reach out to me or any of the other club leaders. I thank you in advance for your time and support.

Once again, I want to say I am honored to be a part of this great club, look forward to meeting more of you at future events, and please reach out to me any time to share your thoughts, ideas, and advice for what you want out or YOUR club.

Go Irish!!

Leadership Team

In addition to the incredible support that the Notre Dame Club of Austin receives from alumni in Austin, friends, and partner organizations, primary management is voluntarily provided by the team shown below.

Staffing Up for 2023 and beyond
Description of Open Positions

We’re Staffing up for 2023 and beyond!
As you can see from the chart above, your ND Club of Austin has openings for Domers with a variety of interests and skills. We need help for all Event positions and most Affinity groups. We also need a local representative for admissions to speak with interested high school students.

Contact our Club President, Justin Patrick, to learn where you are needed and how you can help your Club.

Email us if you’re interested in helping. If you’re interested in a position that is currently filled, that’s OK too – you can be a member of that team. In the ideal buddy system, everyone in a leadership position will have a Club member serving as backup to spread the workload and step in, in the event of schedule conflicts, travel, family commitments, etc. Our Two in the Box system presents a great opportunity for Club members to learn about the inner workings of the Club and ease into leadership roles if that is of interest. Buddies can also serve by simply supporting leaders with scheduling, phoning, emailing and other routine tasks.

While we are the ND Club of Austin, we’re looking for a few people from both Saint Mary’s and Holy Cross to help plan events, meet and greets, recreational events for alums, and coordinate with Club leadership to participate in broader Club events.  Leaders would also assist the president in outreach to the SMC/HCC alumni in the Austin area.
