Oliver and his team use technology innovation, combined with strategic sourcing and supplier development to reduce costs, improve customer experience, and increase sustainability. He is also recognized within the Dell Technical Community as a Distinguished Engineer – Supply Chain. Oliver has become one of the most influential thought leaders in the packaging industry.

Under his leadership, Dell introduced industry-changing materials such as bamboo, mushroom, molded paper pulp, ocean-bound plastic, and pollution ink. These materials are environmentally healthier and offer lower cost and better performance which all results in delighted customers and a more sustainable planet. By 2030, Dell intends to use recycled or renewable material in 100% of its packaging.

In September 2021, he became an advisory board member for the Tom Ford Plastic Innovation Challenge. The challenge is to create new packaging solutions to replace thin-film plastic, which makes up around 46% of all ocean plastic pollution. This material science competition received over 140 applications from 39 countries on six continents. It’s a global effort to create solutions for a problem that affects us all.

The event cost covers setup and two beers per person. Additional proceeds will be used to support the scholarship funds at the participating schools based on attendance. There is abundant free parking available on-site.

In addition, food can be purchased separately at the Dipping Springs Tender Co. food truck also located on-site. They offer extra crispy, kettle-chip crusted chicken tenders with a variety of southern sides and made in-house dipping sauces. Vegan and gluten-free options, too!
