 n\nIn this lecture\, Fr. Jim will explore how young adults navigate th
 e critical period of emerging adulthood\, developing moral understandi
 ng\, forming values\, and making ethical decisions in complex social\,
  cultural\, and personal contexts. He will discuss practical insights 
 for families\, educators\, and communities supporting this vital stage
  of life.\n\nAbout Fr. Jim\n\nFr. Jim Lies\, C.S.C.\, Ph.D.\, is a pri
 est of the Congregation of Holy Cross and Senior Advisor for Faculty F
 ellow Affairs and Partnerships at the Nanovic Institute for European S
 tudies at the University of Notre Dame. He is also Professor of Teachi
 ng in the College of Arts and Letters. Fr. Lies’s academic work focuse
 s on the intersection of psychology\, diplomacy\, and moral developmen
 t\, and he regularly teaches courses on these subjects at Notre Dame. 
 He's been a Holy Cross priest for nearly 30 years\, having spent six y
 ears in London (2017-2023)\, most recently as academic director. Havin
 g returned to campus\, Fr. Jim teaches in the Keough School for Global
  Affairs\, and is the Priest-in-Residence in Duncan Hall.\n\n \n\nAgen
