Location : St. Edward's University – Main Building – Maloney Room, 3001 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX

Father Dave led an excellent discussion about the state of our prison system, as seen from his intimate, every day interactions with those in it.  Approximately 60 people attended.  We thank Father Dave for joining us.  We also thank St. Edwards and look forward to holding future Hesburgh Lecture with them.

Inspired by the late Father Hesburgh’s example of lifelong learning, the Hesburgh Lecture Series has brought University faculty to Notre Dame clubs and their local communities since 1986. The lectures are a great outlet for continuing learning, and each year more than 6,000 alumni and friends take advantage of them. The ND Club of Austin will once again host a lecture in partnership with St. Edward’s University. This year, Rev. David Link (Father Dave) will speak about the rights and needs of the homeless and incarcerated in his lecture “Serving the Least, the Last, the Lost, and the Lonely.” Club members, family, and friends are all invited to attend what will be a very interesting talk.

Time: Doors open at 6:30pm; Lecture begins at 7:00pm
Where: The Maloney Room on the top floor of the Main Building at St. Edward’s University
Cost: Free!
Refreshments Served: Yes!
