The Club loves the Mobile Pantry b ecause we have the opportunity to meet the clients and work closely wi th the Food Bank team members and other volunteers. Please register he re if you intend to attend.\n\nPlease see these additional notes from the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB). All participants must arrive on tim e and stay for the entire shift. Volunteer orientation and training wi ll take place at the beginning of your shift. Our “Wheels of Sharing” Mobile Food Pantries travel to fill geographic and service gaps in eme rgency food assistance. The responsibilities of Mobile Pantry voluntee rs include: unload food and tables from the truck\, package and distri bute food to clients\, help with break-down and clean-up and assist cl ients with carrying food to their vehicles.\n\nDress comfortably and f or the weather. Please wear sneakers\, tennis shoes\, or work boots. F or safety purposes\, sandals\, flip-flops and other shoes with open to es or heels are not permitted. Hats\, sun block\, sunglasses and loose clothing are recommended during summer months. The distributions occu r outside and will continue in inclement weather\, unless doing so wou ld present a danger to volunteers and clients.\n\nYouth are welcome to volunteer at the Food Bank!
